The first two weeks of term were a time where students could wear the uniform that best suited the weather. If you are unsure of the standards for Winter uniforms please look in the front of the School Diary for clarification. I would like to remind all parents that Friday 1 June is Report Writing Day. No students will be required to attend school on this day. District Interschool Sport Well done to Year 4 to 6 students who participated in Round 1 of Interschool Sport against Middle Kinglake Primary School last Friday. It was an exciting day as we played the first Primary football game on the new oval. It was terrific to see so many Year 4 students make their debut at this level and apply the skills they have built up in Physical Education over the last four years. Another highlight was the way all our teams were upbeat and positive about the rest of the season whether they won or lost.
Ivanhoe netballers in action Plenty Campus Auskick Program The Auskick Program for Term 2 has started and takes place each Wednesday from 1.05pm to 1.55pm concluding on Wednesday 20 June. Enrolments are gradually creeping up and I encourage those interested to register online. Thank you to the Year 6 Sport Leaders who assist during this program. Tennis Program The Plenty Tennis Program has also started for Term 2 and will run for 6 weeks. It will be conducted Tuesday lunchtimes from 1.00pm to 2.00pm and is open to all year levels. It has been very pleasing to see the number of students who use their recess or lunchtime for tennis practise on the synthetic courts. These courts are now available for Upper Primary students during their breaks. The improvement shown by students who regularly use the courts is noticeable. CommunityYoung Round Square During Term 1 the Young Round Square leaders in Year 6 requested assistance from our community. The call went out for donations for our Service Project in assisting the Treasure House Orphanage in Nadi, Fiji. The students requested basic medical items such as tooth paste, tooth brushes, band aids and cotton wool. The response was truly amazing. We have received so much that now we are in a position to assist other organisations in Nadi who are in need of these supplies. I would like to congratulate the Young Round Square Leaders and the families of Plenty Primary for their generosity. Cybersafety - Please click here for the latest Cybersafety News.
